Learning Readiness Assessment

A one-to-one session to understand how your child learns and find the right support.

Before your child joins any of our programmes, we start here. This isn’t a test — it’s a calm, structured session where we get to know your child, understand how they learn, and work out what support will help them most.

We look beyond grades. Many children we work with have been told they’re “not trying hard enough” or are “capable but not engaging.” This assessment helps us understand what’s actually going on — where the gaps are, what’s getting in the way, and what your child needs to feel confident and ready to learn.

The assessment is 90 minutes, one-to-one, and costs £120. To book, get in touch through our assessment form.

What We Look At

• Where your child is now — their current levels in literacy and numeracy, without pressure or formality
• Where the gaps are — the specific areas where support is needed, not just what’s showing up in school reports
• How your child learns — the way they engage, what helps them focus, and what causes them to switch off
• Focus and organisation — how your child approaches tasks, manages attention, and handles structure
• What we recommend — a clear view of which programme or support pathway is the right fit

What You Get

After the session, we’ll talk you through what we found in plain language. You’ll come away with a clear picture of your child’s learning needs and our recommendation for the right next step — whether that’s one of our small-group programmes, one-to-one support, or a different approach entirely.

This means when your child starts sessions, they’re in the right group, at the right level, and set up to make progress from day one.
