How we can support

Support for Children Who Struggle With Learning

We provide structured SEN support for children with Autism, ADHD, and related learning differences—helping them feel calm, build confidence, and make meaningful progress.

Our approach focuses on creating a calm, low-pressure environment where your child can engage at their own pace. We build confidence first, then introduce structured learning step-by-step.

Our Educational Readiness FrameworkTM

Rebuilding academic confidence in four deliberate stages.

Academic progress is only possible when a child feels calm, safe, and ready to engage. Many children we support struggle not because of ability, but because learning environments feel overwhelming.

Our Educational Readiness FrameworkTM  focuses on building this foundation first—helping children settle, engage, and develop confidence before academic demands are introduced.

Calm & Settled

We help your child feel calm, safe, and ready to engage with learning.

Build Engagement

We use small, achievable steps to help your child engage and build confidence.

Structured Support

We guide your child step-by-step with clear, consistent support.

Build Independence

As confidence grows, your child becomes more independent and consistent.

WHO WE HELP

Is This Right for Your Child?

We support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with Autism, ADHD, and related learning differences.

If your child is capable but struggles to get started with schoolwork, avoids subjects like reading or maths, or has been described as having potential but finds it difficult to focus, they may benefit from a more structured approach to learning.

We support children with Autism, ADHD, and those who may still be waiting for an assessment.

We use a structured small-group approach, with a maximum of three students per session. This allows us to give each child focused support while maintaining a calm and structured learning environment.

Children benefit from clear guidance, consistent attention, and the opportunity to build confidence alongside others, without the pressure of a larger classroom.

Many children we support initially find it difficult to engage with learning.

We focus on helping your child feel calm and comfortable first, using small, achievable steps to gradually build trust, engagement, and confidence.

There is no pressure to participate immediately — progress is built at your child’s pace.

StriveSEN is an academic tutoring service. We are not a school or a therapy provider. We are not a replacement for school or a clinical therapy provider.

Our focus is on helping children improve their engagement with learning and build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy through structured, step-by-step tutoring.

The initial assessment is a one-to-one session where we look at your child’s current level in reading, writing, or maths, as well as how they approach learning tasks, including focus, engagement, and confidence.

Following this, we provide clear feedback and recommend the most suitable next steps, including the right programme for your child.

Yes. While we are an independent tutoring service, our sessions can support the goals outlined in your child’s EHCP.

We focus on building the skills and consistency needed for progress, and can provide updates that parents may choose to share with schools or other professionals.

Our sessions take place in a calm, structured environment designed to minimise distractions and help children focus.

We keep the space organised, predictable, and low-pressure, so children can settle into learning more easily. Combined with our small-group approach, this helps build confidence and allows children to engage with tasks without feeling overwhelmed.

WHY WE DO THIS

WHY StriveSEN ?

We understand that many children are capable, but struggle to engage with learning in traditional environments.

Our focus is simple—create the right conditions for learning, provide clear structure, and support steady progress over time.

Everything we do is designed to help children feel more confident, more engaged, and more able to succeed academically.
